Friend,
I’ve not been a great social worker. I was issued with a performance improvement plan in my first year (a get better or get sacked plan).
My bosses didn’t like me.
That’s why I went on an experiment over the past year to figure out what could make social work more effective, efficient, and focused. Because we know the struggles.
- there’s no time to do everything asked of you in social work.
- there’s not much support, especially from supervisors about what exactly you need to do
- there’s no energy for yourself
What made me create this course was the study by Professor Seng, that surveyed social workers. It found 56.5% of social workers fitting the criteria for clinical depression.
That’s when I realised there needed to be a better way than that.
You started social work with noble intentions. You wonder if you should stop now.
It’s too much for you.
Please don’t. Clients need you. We need you.
There’s a better way. It doesn’t involve harder work.
It involves smarter work.
We created this course to teach you how.
You don't have to burnout too.
John
